Important: check with academy schools directly
Hampshire County Council's published dates apply directly to community and controlled schools. A number of secondary schools in Gosport, including Bay House School and Bridgemary School, have academy status, and academies can set their own term dates independently of the county calendar. Always confirm directly with your specific school before relying on these dates for holiday bookings or childcare planning, particularly for inset (staff training) days, which vary school by school even within the same term.
Where to find the official dates
Hampshire County Council's term and holiday dates for 2025/26, 2026/27 and 2027/28 were confirmed via a formal council decision — see the Hampshire County Council decision record for the source document, or check your own school's website for its confirmed calendar including inset days.
